Past 10 million domains — Spaceship rockets

Combo of low prices, modern interface, and domain seller platform help registrar eclipse 10 million DUMs in just a few years.
Spaceship has eclipsed a major milestone: 10 million domains under management.
Namecheap launched the Spaceship brand in 2023. In August of that year, it moved the registrar into an unrestricted open beta and had regarding 100,000 domains under management.
Since then it has grown like, well, a rocket ship.
With a modern interface, very low pricing, and a domain sales system, Spaceship has captured a lot of domain investor inventory.
As of May (the latest date for official registrar/regisry data), 1.9 million of its domains were .com. It added over 100k .coms that month, so the .com tally is much higher now.
Following .com, a trio of fresh top level domains made up its top sellers: .shop, .xyz, and .top.
It also had regarding 150,000 .skin domains. I don’t know why, as that’s nearly the entire .skin zone. (Raise your hand if you didn’t know .skin was a TLD.)
.Shop, .xyz, .top, and .skin each cost less than $2 at Spaceship right now.
Its low prices aren’t just for fresh top level domains: .com domains are $8.88 for the first year, and .org is right now $6.65.
These numbers exclude any ccTLDs, as ICANN doesn’t publish zone files for them.
Combined with Namecheap, the firm now has over 30 million domains under management.
