Intercap Registry is one of the biggest fresh top level domain applicants in the 2026 round, applying for 71 strings.

Until now, the firm has been a smaller player in the registry business. It operates .inc, .dealer, and .box.

So it was a bit surprising to see its name repeatedly in ICANN’s list of applications. I hadn’t heard any industry chatter regarding the firm’s plans.

Overall, I count 58 strings that are in contention and 13 that are not.
