Team Internet Group (AIM: TIG, OTCQX: TIGXF) released a trading update today, revealing its high-level 2025 results.

Gross revenue declined 40% to $481.9 million year over year. Net revenue slide 27% to $136.2 million. The firm’s adjusted EBITDA measure fell 54% to $42.7 million.

The steep declines were expected following Google pulled the plug on Google AdSense for Domains. Team Internet is a big player in domain monetization and saw traffic fall 19% and revenue per thousand impressions (RPM) decline 51% compared to 2024. Overall, revenue for its monetization business was down 59%, and adjusted EBITDA was down 84%.

AdSense for Domains didn’t decline until midway through the year, so the RPM was likely much lower toward the end of the year. Team Internet is trying to replace revenue with other monetization channels, counting Google’s Related Search for Content (RSOC).

Team Internet also owns many domain name registrars (e.g., Moniker, CentralNic Reseller) and provides backend registry services (e.g., .xyz, .co). Revenue in that business was more stable during the year, declining 4%. The firm is right now in talks to sell this business and believes the segment will fetch more than the firm’s current market capitalization (right now £119 million).

On today’s podcast, Team Internet Group CEO Michael Reidl discusses the end of AdSense for Domains and what he sees as opportunities in the domain space, especially in the face of AI.
