Could you turn $500 of domains into cash within one year?
GoDaddy Domain Academy is running a contest in which six domain investors compete to see who can make the most money in a year.
It’s a highly restricted contest meant to simulate what it would be like as a fresh domain investor. Each investor has only $500 to spend and one year to sell the domains.
I’m one of the participants, and Domain Academy just published a podcast episode in which I explain how I find domains to buy.
On the show, I share two AI tools that I use to find domains to hand register. I also show how I use ExpiredDomains.net to find expiring domains to buy.
It’s rare that I sell any domain I buy within a year of buying it, so this contest is going to be tough. I’m trying to avoid leveraging Reglike and my personal brand to sell any of the domains since fresh domain investors don’t have this sort of reach. But I might change my mind if it looks like Mike Cyger is going to win.
