ENom bought, Domain Parking: Wall Street Journal
Monday’s Wall Street Journal has yet another domain name article.
I just finished writing a post regarding a domain name parking article in Business 2.0. I opened up the Marketplace section of The Wall Street Journal and what did I see…another article regarding domain parking.
This one is also regarding adding content and juicing up domain parking pages. It discusses FlashGames.com, a parking page that generates $150,000 a year. (Anyone notice that it’s basically a framed Sedo parking page?)
The article states that former MySpace.com chairman Richard Rosenblatt raised $120M from investors to build a fresh firm called Digital Media Inc. The firm will focus on buying generic domain names and adding a bit of content. It will be similar to Internet REIT and other firms buying up portfolios of stellar domains.
The article also states that Demand Media has purchased domain registrar eNom.
