Afilias launched .promo today. The most obvious use for this domain name is for coupon codes and sales. The domains are regarding $10-$15 retail.

.Promo is interesting since it was originally applied for by a different firm and Afilias bought it following the original applicant decided to sell.

Uniregistry launches .Game on Tuesday. This is going to be a tough one for domain name investors since annual fees are high. Expect to pay regarding $350 per year to register a .game domain.

This might make sense for an app or video game maker, but the carrying costs are very high for domain investors.

Also keep in mind that Rightside will launch .Games later this year.
