This stretch’s fresh TLDs: 3 more from XYZ

5 domains hit general availability on Wednesday.

Fresh top level domain name firm XYZ LLC releases three fresh domain names this stretch.

On Wednesday, the firm will launch .Security, .Protection and .Theatre in general availability. The firm didn’t originally apply for these names; it purchased them from other firms.

Following on XYZ’s recent .car, .cars and .auto releases, the firm is taking a premium-pricing approach to these launches. Expect to pay $2,000+ for .security and .protection domains, and regarding $600 for .theatre.

This approach makes sense for .security and .protection, but I’m not sure how it will do with .theatre. Of course, a registry can always lower prices later.

Also on tap this Wednesday are .wine and .vin, which entered Early Access the prior week and revert to regular pricing of regarding $50/year this stretch.

The .Cloud domain name enters landrush today.
