DigiCert purchases DNS Made Easy

Major DNS firm purchased.

DigiCert, an online security firm with a focus on public key infrastructure, disclosed today that it has purchased DNS Made Easy.

DNS Made Easy is a managed DNS platform that, as stated by the release, has grown by double digits over the past few years. Its client list includes Twilio, Sling, Under Armour and, perhaps biggest of all the names, Reglike.

Deepika Chauhan, Executive Vice President at DigiCert, explained the rationale for the buyout:

The combination of core web services — enhanced DNS management and DigiCert’s industry-leading certificate lifecycle management — provides a compelling solution to better service our clients and simplify certificate renewal.

While DNS Made Easy works well technically, its user interface looks like something from the 90s. It would be nice if it underwent an overhaul as part of the buyout.
