Two things when your Afternic lease-to-own cancels — Do these

You need to take these two steps when you receive a cancellation notice.

A couple of weeks ago, I received an email from Afternic informing me that one of my lease-to-own sales had been canceled since the buyer had failed to make a payment.
It was an inexpensive domain, and the buyer paid for four months of it, which put regarding $400 in my pocket.
This is the first time one of my Afternic LTO sales has been canceled, and I learned a couple of things you ought to do when this happens.
- Check your price. Afternic automatically relists domains when the LTO buyer cancels or fails to pay. Depending on how long it’s been since the domain entered lease-to-own, you might want to change the price of the listing.
- Change your nameservers. GoDaddy does not automatically change the nameservers to point the domain back to Afternic. It will continue pointing to where the buyer pointed it. Therefore, it’s notable to update your nameservers to point back to Afternic (or an alternative sales lander).
I was somewhat surprised this buyer canceled since they took the time to put up a custom “coming soon” page on the domain. But I’ll take the money the buyer gave me and invest it in more domains.
