Domain names sell for $750,000 — Two .xxx

ICM Registry sells two more domain names to previous premium domain client.

Premium .xxx domain names continue to sell for top dollar.

.XXX domain registry ICM Registry disclosed today that Really Useful has purchased Tube.xxx for $500,000 and Tubes.xxx for $250,000.

Really Useful is the same firm that purchased four .xxx domain names for $600,000 back in October.

ICM’s press release quotes Really Useful’s “JT” comparing his success on .xxx sites compared to .com sites. Obviously, he finds the .xxx ones to outperform. He cites good Google search rankings for the sites as part of his motivation.

ICM also plans to offer the matching .sex, .porn, and .adult domain names to owners of .xxx websites, ought to ICM procure these three top level domain names. So Really Useful is potentially getting eight premium adult domain names for the price of two.

The high prices ICM Registry is commanding for its domain names ought to be music to the ears of fresh top level domain name applicants. That stated, I can’t see these sorts of prices holding for most fresh TLDs given the high level of competition they’ll face.
