UPS and other big firms have domain names expiring soon.

UPS.comOK, so they surely have auto renew turned on. But isn’t this cutting it close?

UPS’ main domain name UPS.com, the one it uses to run its firm, expires on April 8 and hasn’t been renewed yet.

UPS isn’t the only big firm with a domain name that expires fairly soon. As I did a couple years ago, I ran through the Fortune 100 list of firms to see which ones have domains expiring soon. Here they are:

UPS.com 4/8/15
Chevron.com 4/14/15
Cisco.com 5/15/15
Wellpoint.com 5/24/15
SuperValu.com 6/3/15
Lowes.com 6/28/15
NewYorkLife.com 7/9/15
GoldmanSachs.com 7/24/15

Some of these firms came up last time I ran this list, they they haven’t opted to renew domains 10 years into the future like they can.

Maybe it’s just me, but this seems like playing with fire.
