The most common defensive registration is CompanySucks .com.

Bank of America registered the names of its executives and board members followed by derogatory terms like blows.

CIT Bank did the same for its CEO, making sure that no one would say she “sucks ass”.

Investment manager The Vanguard Group registered some domains yesterday in themes I’ve never seen in defensive registrations.

And if you think it’s a little too cozy with China, Vanguard snapped up VanguardLovesChina .com.
