Audio visual firm uses .pro to promote its business.

Fellow Austinite and domain name investor Ramiro Canales must have done a double take when he was driving in traffic the other day. He sent me this photo:

Yes, that is a .pro domain name on the back of the van. It’s ConceptElectronics.pro, which is used by a home automation and audio visual firm.

At the time the firm registered the domain the matching .com, .net, and .org domains were registered. Given the profession, .pro was probably one of the better extensions still available.

And for those people who commented they didn’t like the www a local lawn firm used ahead of Mow.co, this one is presented sans www. I wonder how many people see this van and don’t realize it’s a web address?
