From Around the Web — Domain News
Domain news worth reading.
Here are a few domain name news items that caught my attention in the past 24 hours.
Hallmark to buy Crayon.com? Fusible, which does a good job tracking big name domain buyers, thinks that Hallmark might be the lone bidder for the domain name Crayon.com. The domain name is on auction right now at Sedo with a $50,000 bid. I’m going to second Fusible here, since I noticed that Hallmark bought Crayolas.com from Sedo earlier this month week for $1,888.
DotWeekly on “Premium Domains”. DotWeekly has a humorous post on a sale of “premium” domain names that sold at Bido for $2.58 per domain. As the post points out, if someone has to tell you that something is “premium”, then it probably isn’t. Worth a read.
Microsoft sues cybersquatter. TheDomains has a story on Microsoft suing Alf Temme, who occasionally stops in at domain conferences. You may have seen Temme’s “ROM” exercise machine advertised in the back of your favorite magazine. The four-minute exercise machine retails for $14,615.
