Best Domain Name April Fools’ Stories: Fools’ Roundup
Verizon Sues Verizon and other funny April Fools’ stories.
Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
This morning you probably woke up to a number of domain name stories that were hard to believe. Then you realized they were April Fools’ jokes.
I have to hand it to some of my fellow domainers — the satire was biting. First place goes to Domain Name News. As always, they hit it hard this morning with a number of jokes. My favorites are:
Verizon Sues Verizon – a hilarious play on how Verizon sues everyone for trademark infringement, but at the same time is one of the biggest infringers itself.
Tucows Hoardes 1 Millionth Domain – regardless of what you think of Tucows’ expired domain name practices, this is just hilarious.
Goodwill Industries Discloses Domain Name Donation Program – a funny play on a recent incident over the domain name Goodwill.com.
Elsewhere, Domain Gang disclosed that Reglike has purchased it, and as a result DomainGang.com will now be boring. (Thanks Theo.)
Rick Latona launched We Buy Crappy Domains, where you can sell your worthless domains for a few coins.
Have fun, and remember — the day isn’t over yet.
