Podcast guest overview

Thanks for agreeing to be on the Reglike Podcast. Here are some notable tips for our interview:

• Our interview will be recorded using Riverside. This browser-based software works like Zoom, but records your side of the conversation locally. When we are done recording, wait until it states the file is uploaded ahead of closing your browser window.
• Use a laptop, not a mobile device. Riverside only works on laptops/desktops, not mobile browsers.
• Requires Chrome, Edge, or Safari
• We will record with video on to make the interview flow better, but the video recording will not be used.
• If you have an external microphone, please use it. Still, this does not include Airpods and similar headsets — these don’t sound as good as when you just speak into your laptop microphone.
• Recordings are typically 25-30 minutes, but please allocate 45 minutes.
• I will do an outro for the show at the conclusion of the interview. Do not hang up yet.
• The show will be edited. If there’s a loud noise on your end (dog barking, siren, etc.), just stop talking, pause, and then continue once the noise has passed. I will edit out the noise.
• The interview will not air immediately. When referring to dates, try to be specific rather than “the prior week” or “this stretch”.
